In that world, Anana Johnson works with his father, Doug, on the publication of a dictionary of the language that was never printed. Until one afternoon, Doug disappears and Anana discovers that he'd devised a code to indicate that he was in danger, and the search leads inevitably to dark cellars, underground passages, secret meetings and the sacred precincts of the spiritual home of the written word.
