Description
The story of six close friends who converged to advise President Truman in April 1945 and formulated a doctrine of Communist containment that became the foundation of American policy. They were called on again for their steady council by President Kennedy during the Bay of Pigs and President Johnson during the Vietnam War. Through their advice to many of our nation's leaders during the Cold War, these six shaped a new world order that committed a once reticent nation to defending freedom wherever it sought to flourish.
